FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurology, and can be used for ultrasound diagnostics of lateral stenosis of the spinal canal of the lumbar spine. To implement the method, polypositional ultrasound scanning of the spinal canal is performed in real time. The anteroposterior size of the lateral recess is therein determined on the right and on the left. If the recess is reduced to 2.81 mm and more, lateral stenosis of the spinal canal of the lumbar spine is diagnosed on the side of the size reduction of the lateral recess.
EFFECT: invention allows to determine precise localisation of lateral stenosis of the spinal canal of the lumbar spine in a patient.
