FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: air-cushion vehicle is arranged on the way of system. Proposed system comprises channels narrowing towards outlet to act on vehicle hull accommodating outlets of airflow generators. Vehicle hull comprises also consecutive arc-like flow passages with their inlets arranged at the hull bottom and outlets brought out to vehicle hull surface and directed opposite to vehicle motion. Vehicle channels are communicated with travel channels to form flow passage paths. Aforesaid generators can be switched in "running wave" way in groups and generated flows ahead of vehicle. Vehicle bottom accommodates elements to centre it along travel. Method of vehicle operation comprises forming airflows to act on vehicle hull bottom, generate high-pressure zone between it and move it along guide way. Ahead of vehicle, additional airflows are generated and varied in proportion to vehicle speed. Airflows at outlets of aforesaid channels are deflected along vehicle travel to brake it.
EFFECT: higher load carrying capacity, propulsion speed, reliability and fast operation in unfavourable conditions.
