FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing tricyclo[4.2.1.02'5]nonane-3-spiro-1'-butane of general formula (1), , characterised by that, 3-methylenetricyclo[4.2.1.02,5]nonane is reacted with triethylaluminium Et3Al in the presence of zirconocene dichloride catalyst Cp2ZrCl2 in molar ratio 3-methylenetricyclo[4.2.1.02,5]nonane:Et3Al: Cp2ZrCl2=10:(10-14):(0.4-0.6) in an argon atmosphere at temperature 20°C and normal pressure in hexane, for a period of 5 to 7 hours with subsequent addition at -10°C of diethyl ether in a volume equal to that of hexane taken, triphenylphosphine Ph3P and palladium acetylacetonate Pd(acac)2 in amount equimolar to Cp2ZrCl2. Freshly distilled allyl chloride is then added in threefold excess of taken Et3Al, and temperature is brought to room temperature and stirring is continued for 5 more hours.
EFFECT: said compound can be used in fine organic synthesis, in production of liquid-crystalline systems, and biologically active substances.
