FIELD: metering equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to geophysical methods for wells detection and is intended for separation of annulus fluid flows in wells cased with pipes. Method for detection of annulus fluid flows in wells includes measurements of acoustic signals along axis of pipe-cased well with three orthogonally arranged detectors. Axis of sensitivity in the first sensor matches with well axis, axes of sensitivity in the second and third sensors are directed perpendicularly to it. Value of ration is detected between signals of the first sensor to root square from sum of the second and third sensor signal amplitude squares. In case there is an annulus flow, ratio value established experimentally should make from 0.8 to 2.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of annulus flow borders detection in pipe-cased wells.
