FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to carrying friction tests on material and can be used in assessing friction characteristics of surfaces with microgeometry anisotropy. The device for analysing friction anisotropy has a base with a sample holder, a carriage with a counterbody holder and its loading unit, an actuator for moving the holder, as well as a device for measuring anisotropic friction force. The carriage of the counterbody forms a frame, where one its sides is fixed to the actuator and is fitted with a measuring scale, and the other is made in form of a cylindrical axle, which a sliding bar is mounted on rolling elements with possibility of lateral movement in the horizontal plane and rotation about the axle, which is fitted with a pointer, where a tension bar with the counter body holder is fixed on the opposite side on the sliding bar.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determining trajectory of movement of sample during tests in anisotropic friction conditions.
