FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrode consuming oxygen in alkaline electrolyte operating on CO2-containing gas mixes, for example air, and to method of producing such electrode. In compliance with this invention, proposed method of producing gas diffusion electrode from silver catalyst on PTFE-substrate, system of pores of silver catalyst is filled with penetrating filler. Stable-size solid substance is adulterated to aforesaid silver catalyst, particle size of aforesaid substance exceeds that of silver catalyst. Produced mass, compression-resistant, is formed on first calendar into homogeneous catalyst band, while, on second calendar, electrically conducting material of current tap is embedded in aforesaid band. Note that resultant material is heated between first and second calenders by a heater to remove, at least, a portion of penetrating filler.
EFFECT: continuous operation.
