SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automation and can be used for automated detection of absorption and luminescence spectra. The device for controlling a stepper motor of a monochromator has transistor switches and a signal amplifier, respectively connected to connectors, microcircuit-driver, and microcontroller. The digital display used is an electronic-symbol-digital display, connected to leads of the digital port B of the microcontroller, with first, second, third and fourth leads of port C which is connected to transistor switches. The microcontroller is connected by the input of an analogue-to-digital converter to the output of the signal amplifier, and by an asynchronous transceiver to the microcircuit driver, connected the connector.

EFFECT: improved operational characteristics of the device.
