FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: photometer includes a burner equipped with a device for spraying a solution of the analysed substance. The burner is connected in series to an optical light flux transmission system, a dispersing element, a photodetector and a measurement result processing and recording unit. The dispersing element is in form of an acoustooptical monochromator connected to a high-frequency driver. The acoustooptical monochromator comprises an acoustooptical cell with a connected piezoelectric radiator enclosed between two crossed polarisers and made in form of a uniaxial crystal which is sensitive to ultrasound. The high-frequency driver comprises a frequency synthesiser and an ultrasonic power amplifier. The output of the measurement result processing and recording unit is connected to the input of the high-frequency driver.

EFFECT: low sensitivity threshold, high measurement accuracy and enabling measurement of concentration of a large number of different chemical elements contained in a solution.
