FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in metallurgical lines, for instance in continuous pipe-welding machines. Nearby welding area there are installed clamping of strips ends and technological planks with ability of contact to side edges of strips. Technological planks are implemented in the form of round plates mounted on axis from both sides by welding line with ability of its rotation into new position for each following welding. Round plates are installed with ability of rest into clamping ensured by located on axis of springs and are connected to hydraulic actuators, efforts of which are directed at welding to the side of welded strips for providing of contact with its side edges. Round plates can be implemented from material corresponding to material of welded strips or from copper alloys at thickness not higher than thickness of welded strips.

EFFECT: invention provides simplification of welding technology and receiving of defect-free of welding connection of strips in continuous aggregates at minimal timetable for preparation of connections for welding without increasing of production cycle of welding.
