FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil refining methods, particularly to methods of producing jet engine fuel. The proposed method involves hydrofining kerosene distillates at high temperature and pressure in the presence of a catalyst. A light fraction which evaporates at temperature between 120 and 180°C is distilled out of the kerosene distillate first and then subjected to demercaptanisation through extraction of mercaptans using an alkaline solution in the presence of an oxidation catalyst, after which an alkaline extractant saturated with mercaptans is separated from the light fraction. The remaining heavier fraction of the kerosene distillate is subjected to hydrofining, after which refined fractions are mixed in ratio ranging from 65-35 wt % to 40-60 wt %.
EFFECT: production of jet fuel which meets modern requirements to TS-1 and JET A-1 fuel, achieving the required degree of removing mercaptans with retention of the necessary amount of sulphur, which provides for good lubricating properties of fuel without using antiwear additives.
