FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method includes felling of trees, formation of packs, carts, their transportation by skidding to the area of loading and formation of loading packs. After felling of trees, they are separated into butt and top parts. Border of division between butt and top parts are arranged in the area of felled tree, in which trunk diametre amounts to value that is slightly less than plank timber diametre accepted according to standard. Packs and carts are formed separately, accordingly, from butt and top parts. Transportation of packs and carts by skidding is carried out without contact with earth in completely loaded condition.

EFFECT: method provides for high safety of forestry species undergrowth and trees left standing, high volume of wood removal, reduced labour expenditures for maintenance of felling site, lower contamination of timber with mineral substances in process of transportation and increased weight-lifting capacity of timber-carrying transport.
