FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: fodder mineral additive comprises thermally treated natural zeolite with fraction of 0.3-2.0 mm, and thermally treated finely dispersed zeolite with fraction of 0.005-0.2 mm at the following ratio of components, wt %: thermally treated natural zeolite with fraction of 0.3-2.0 mm 80-85, thermally treated finely dispersed zeolite with fraction of 0.005-0.2 mm 15-20. Method for production of this additive includes crushing of natural zeolite in aspirated equipment, separation of air flow in pneumatic classifier with separation of zeolite fraction and further mixing of fractioned natural zeolite with its fraction, at the same time prior to crushing natural zeolite is flushed with water, crushed down to piece size of 30-70 mm, afterwards its thermal treatment is carried out at the temperature of 800°-850°C for 1.5-5.5 hours, thermally treated natural zeolite is crushed to produce fraction of 0.3-2.0 mm, and separation of air flow is done with extraction of finely dispersed zeolite with fraction for 0.005-0.2 mm.

EFFECT: inventions make it possible to produce high quality mineral additive with high sorption properties, to improve productivity of animals and birds by better digestion of ration nutritious substances.
