FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry, particularly to sleeve of block of cylinders of internal combustion engine. At external surface of sleeve it is implemented coating from heterogeneous metallic layer containing basic metallic phase and discontinuous metallic phases. During casting liquid metal penetrates into sputtered layer through discontinuous metallic phases and crystallises in the form of plants roots. On external surface of sleeve it is implemented multitude of projections in the form of bottleneck which fulfill at least one of following conditions: height of projections is from 0.5 mm up to 1.5 mm, number of projections per 1 cm2 of external surface is from 5 up to 60.
EFFECT: it is provided high rate of adhesion of cylinders block to surface of cylinder sleeve and it is achieved high thermal conductivity.
