FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: rare krypton-xenon concentrate with total krypton and xenon content of 0.01 to 1.5 %, containing up to 0.6% hydrocarbons, 0.5 to 50% nitrogen and oxygen is passed through a catalyst bed, containing 5 to 20 wt % manganese dioxide and 80 to 95 wt % zirconium dioxide at 380 to 470°C and bulk speed of feeding material from 1000 to 15000 h-1. The cleaned concentrate is subjected to adsorption purification from moisture and carbon dioxide. Krypton-xenon mixture is obtained from the obtained mixture of gases through rectification. The rectification process is carried out using top cold reflux in form of liquid nitrogen or liquid oxygen, taken in amount of 10 to 40 % in terms of raw material.
EFFECT: invention allows for obtaining a pure krypton-xenon mixture with content of hydrocarbon compounds in the krypton-xenon concentrate of up to 3 ppm and reducing loss of the krypton-xenon mixture.
