FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing protein hydrolysate involves thermal treatment of untanned collagen-containing wastes for 2 to 3 hours at temperature from 90 to 110°C in an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution, taken in amount of 3 to 5% of the mass of the wastes, with volume ratio equal to 1.
EFFECT: higher quality of protein hydrolysate, enhancement of surface-active properties, cutting on consumption of chemical materials.
