FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of realising Fischer-Tropsch synthesis using gaseous material, which contains carbon monoxide and hydrogen, to obtain a hydrocarbon product using several compact catalyst reactor modules, each of which contains a set of plates which form channels for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis with detachable gas-permeable catalyst structures inside the said channels and adjacent channels for a heat carrier; in this method, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is carried out in at least two successive stages; each stage is carried out in several reactor modules, through which reaction gases pass in form of parallel streams; on each of the successive stages there is an equal number of reaction modules; all given reactor modules have identical channels for carrying medium; at the first stage, rate of flow of gas ranges from 1000/h to 15000/h, and temperature lies in the interval from 190°C to 225°C, so that the degree of conversion of carbon monoxide does not exceed 75%; gases between successive stages are cooled to temperature ranging from 40°C to 100°C so as to condense water vapour and a certain amount of hydrocarbon product, and are then processed at the second stage. The invention also relates to an installation for realising the proposed method.
EFFECT: invention allows for suppression of adverse effect of water vapour on the catalyst, along with that, total efficiency of the installation can be controlled by overlapping modules on each stage while maintaining their equal number for each stage.
