FACILITY FOR PACKING OF PIVOTING SHAFT Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F16J15/16 

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to packing equipment. The facility for packing of the pivoting shaft consists of a pivoting shaft installed in a case, of a packing element in form of an elastic bushing arranged with a gap relative to the case and the pivoting shaft and pressed from the side of its end to the pivoting shaft and the case by means of a fit ring and by means of a main spring located between the fit ring and a retainer. The pivoting shaft is made step-wise with lesser diametre beyond the section enveloped with the elastic bushing. On the section of stepped transition of diametres the end surface of the pivoting shaft is covered with an elastic circular padding resting simultaneously on the end of the pivoting shaft and on the end of the elastic bushing. The elastic circular padding is pressed with a clamping washer coaxially installed inside the fit ring by means of an additional spring arranged axially to the main spring inside it and located between the clamping washer and the retainer.

EFFECT: invention enhances reliability of packing unit of pivoting shaft.
