SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to aviation. To realise the proposed method and device, several apparatus are used. The first apparatus is designed for analysing the profile of ground obstacles, at least those in front of the aircraft. The second apparatus serves for determining the path for avoiding collision. The third apparatus, which is connected to the first and second apparatus, is used for checking whether there is any risk of the aircraft colliding with ground obstacles. The fourth apparatus gives an alarm signal if risk of collision has been detected by the third apparatus. There is at least one database of aircraft performance characteristics, related to the maneuvering gradient for avoiding collisions, which can be passed by the aircraft during flight in accordance with specific flight parametres. The fifth apparatus determines actual values of specific parametres during flight of the aircraft. The third apparatus is fixed such that, there is possibility of determining the path of avoiding collision in accordance with information obtained from the data base and from the fifth apparatus.
EFFECT: group of inventions prevents late detection of risk of collision and false alarm signals.
