FIELD: nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to localisation of liquid radioactive wastes and can be used in atomic power engineering and in radiochemical production for solidifying radioactive solutions and pulp. The composition for solidifying liquid radioactive wastes contains calcium oxide, flue ash from a thermal power plant, natural aluminium silicate materials and plasticising additives in the following ratio of components, wt %: calcium oxide - 5.0 to 35.0; natural aluminium silicate materials (bentonite, vermiculite, kaolin, clinoptilolite) - 4.0 to 15.0; plasticiser - 0.2 to 1.0; flue ash from a thermal power plant - 49.0 to 90.8.
EFFECT: reliable localisation of radioactive wastes and considerably cheap process of cementing with cement compounds meeting standard requirements: compression strength - over 50 kg/cm2, radionuclide leach rate - not less than 1·10-3 g/(cm2·day).
