FIELD: radioactive materials disposal. SUBSTANCE: invention gives special attention to hardening liquid wastes by including them into artificial mineral-like forms adequate for subsequent safe storage. Relevant composition is based on manmade and natural aluminosilicate materials containing 80-82% blast- furnace slag, 12-16% bentonite, and 2-6% kaolin. Dry composition components are ground, agitated, and tempered with medium-activity wastes (sodium hydroxide level in waste should be adjusted to 80-100 g/l). Resultant mixture is poured into barrels, containers, wells, etc. to harden for 28 days. EFFECT: hard monolith matrix obtained with cesium-leaching rate not higher than 4 x 10-4 g per square cm daily and high mechanical compression strength. 1 tbl
