FIELD: nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to localisation of liquid radioactive wastes, and can be used in atomic power engineering and in radiochemical production for solidifying radioactive solutions and pulp. The composition for solidifying liquid radioactive wastes increases the degree of inclusion of target components into the cement matrix by 1.4 times while increasing the solution to cement ratio by 1.8 times. The composition consists of 79.0 to 89.8% portland cement (or blast furnace slag), 5.0 to 10.0% bentonite, 0.2 to 1.0% superplasticiser S-3 and 5.0 to 10.0% fibre asbestos. When solidifying liquid wastes using blast furnace slag as binding substance in the composition, the liquid phase should contain 80 to 120 g/l sodium hydroxide.
EFFECT: increased degree of inclusion of components of wastes into the cement matrix when solidifying liquid wastes.
