FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of conditioning liquid radioactive wastes by method of cementing, namely to composition for hardening liquid radioactive waste, consisting of Portland cement and natural mineral additive. As natural mineral additive used is highly siliceous natural material with content of silicon dioxide not less than 80% with the following component ratio (wt %): Portland cement 90-95; natural mineral additive 5-10. As a rule, as highly siliceous natural material used is diatomite, quartz powder, biosilica.
EFFECT: claimed invention makes it possible to increase strength and reliability of fixation of radionuclides in cement matrix, as well as to reduce terms of cement matrix setting in the process of hardening liquid boron-containing radioactive wastes.
