DEVICE FOR ACCUMULATOR BATTERY CHARGE-DISCHARGE CYCLING Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC H01M10/48 H02J7/02

Abstract RU 2375791 C2

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electric engineering, specifically to test and control equipment for accumulator battery charge-discharge cycling during testing, maintenance and preparation for work of nickel-hydrogen batteries at manufacturing plant and in operating organisations. Device for charge-discharge cycling contains DC power supply, load unit, controller. Between DC power supply and AB, the fist and the second controlled bipolar switches are incorporated. Their first output poles are coupled and connected to positive side of AB, and their second output poles are coupled and connected to negative side of AB. At the same time, positive side of DC power supply is connected with the first input pole of the first switch and with input of load unit the output of which is connected with the second input pole of the second switch, and negative side of DC power supply is connected with the second input pole of the first switch and with the first input pole of the second switch. Controller is electrically connected with AB output and with controlled inputs of switches and DC power supply. Additionally, load unit is performed using series-connected diodes to which DC fans are connected.

EFFECT: reducing error of measurement of electric quantity received during accumulator battery (AB) charging and returned during discharge in each charge-discharge cycle; possibility to discharge AB to 0 V and lower; simplification of practical implementation.
