FIELD: electric power industry.
SUBSTANCE: used to test the electrical characteristics of batteries or electric batteries, namely stationary accumulator batteries (AB) of auxiliary systems of transformer substations. For 2 ms, the battery is closed to resistance R1, selected to provide a current in the circuit with the battery equal to 4 currents for a ten-hour battery discharge, and the voltage drop across resistance R1 at the end of the period of time is measured. After this, the circuit is opened and immediately closed for the same period of 2 ms to resistance R2, selected to provide a current in the circuit with the battery equal to 40 currents of a ten-hour battery discharge, and the voltage drop across resistance R2 is measured at the end of the time period. Based on the measured voltage drops, the currents I1 and I2 are calculated. Estimate the internal resistance of the battery using the formula Rin = (R2⋅ I2-R1⋅ I1)/(I2-I1). Determine the actual capacity using the formula Сat=а⋅ Rin^2+b⋅ Rin+c, where a, b and c are empirical coefficients. Determine the actual capacity reduced to normal temperature: Сa=Сat/(1+λ (t-tn)), where t is the temperature of the electrolyte measured at the beginning of the discharge, tn is the normal temperature of the electrolyte,λ is the temperature coefficient. The residual life is estimated using the formula RL=Ca/Cnom, where Cnom is the nominal capacity of the battery at normal electrolyte temperature. The device includes a communication unit that receives commands to measure the internal resistance of the battery to direct current, discharge or charge of the battery, and also transmits the internal resistance measurement results received from the control unit to an external device via a wired or wireless connection, a control unit that sets the load levels for discharge battery with two DC pulses, an input voltage measuring unit that measures the voltage of the battery in a circuit with an electrical load R1, R2, a reverse polarity protection device, a measurement error compensation unit, a unit for measuring the internal resistance of the battery with direct current, connected to the positive contact of the batteries through a reverse polarity protection device, an ADC module that measures the change in voltage on the battery and sends the voltage measurement results to the control unit, power supply.
EFFECT: increasing the convenience and quality of diagnosing the condition of rechargeable batteries, as well as reducing the time of testing without removing the battery from service, simplifying the device.
