FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for directing of metallic strip in space around takeup unit and operation method of such device. Device contains bearing frame, which on its fist end installed with ability of rotation around the second pivot pin relative to stationary section and bears transfer table, and on it's the second end opposite to the first end, is connected to rotary frame with ability of rotation around the first pivot pin. Rotary frame on its opposite end to the first pivot pin bears the first transfer table. As bearing frames, as rotary frame are regulated correspondingly by own, given by executive element and depending on desirable working position are positioned appropriately. Device can be driven into different working positions: clamping spline, inoperative location, to transfer belt, to open coil or belt takeup unit.
EFFECT: there is provided ability to operate in more number of modes.
