FIELD: load lifting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in transforming machine structural component linear or angular travel into drive rotation to be transformed into rotor (activator) stepwise travel, shaping current or voltage pulses depending on rotor rotation and counting said pulses exploiting their power. Proposed device comprises converter to transform structural component travel into rotary motion of drive element, device to transform continuous drive rotation into rotor stepwise motion, and device to transform rotor motion mechanical power into current or voltage pulses to be counted by counting device. Basic electronic devices are built around microcontroller.

EFFECT: higher stability and safety.
