SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and ecology. A coloristic detector tube for detecting mercaptans in the air in manufacturing facilities consists of a chemisorbent with an analytical reagent placed inside a cylindrical glass case with sealed ends. The analytical reagent in the chemisorbent is a thiomercury compound with general formula (1-4): , where R=H-(1);CI-(2);Br-(3);F-(4); the chemisorbent also contains KSKG silica gel of the 0.165-0.215 fraction, cationic surfactant, non-aromatic amine, salts, which are contained in the buffer solution with pH from 9.0 to 11.0 and water with given content of components.
EFFECT: increased selectivity of analysis.
