FIELD: physics; communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hydroacoustic antenna with an arbitrary shape. The antenna has hydroacoustic receivers, in the immediate vicinity of which compact sealed signal preprocessing units are mounted on the frame of the antenna outside the housing of the support. The output of each hydroacoustic receiver is connected to the free input of the nearest signal preprocessing unit, which amplifies, filters, carries out analogue-to-digital conversion, noiseless coding and digital compression of signals from the hydroacoustic receivers. Such an arrangement provides for minimum length of analogue lines, and enables uniform distribution of signal preprocessing units on a shape-generating frame.
EFFECT: reduced volume of the support occupied by information preprocessing units, shorter cables, which transmit an analogue signal from the hydroacoustic receivers to the signal preprocessing units, and consequently, increased noise immunity, as well as reduced number of sealed leads into the housing of the support due to compression and digitisation of information.
