FIELD: hydroacoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroacoustics, can be used in solving signal processing tasks in passive sonar, and is intended for joint assessment of direction, range and depth of immersion of a sea noisy object using a horizontal linear multi-element receiving antenna in a near acoustic field. When implementing the method, signals arriving at the set of all antennae of the system are in-phase summed, taking into account two types of phase shift: shift by delays, which characterize the wave front in the horizontal plane, and shifts in lagging, which characterize the set of wave fronts in the vertical plane.
EFFECT: increase in the resultant power of the received signal, which in turn leads to an increase in the signal-to-noise ratio, and corresponds to an increase in noise immunity.
