SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a data carrier and, specifically, to the physical structure effectively used when recording data onto a recording medium, and to a method and device for recording data onto a recording medium using the physical structure. The recording medium, which includes an inner area, data area and outer area, also includes a first testing area in the inner area, and a second testing area in the outer area, in which the first and second testing areas are formed using a predefined wobble modulation method, the same as for the data area.
EFFECT: recording medium can be used in the method of making Blu-ray discs and enables efficient recording/playback of data onto/from a recording medium, for example a Blu-ray disc.
