FIELD: physics; communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a communication system and can be used in household electronic devices, devices for industrial purposes, scientific devices and network communications. The correlation unit for correlation processing a sequence of samples of code elements contains: 1) memory for storing sequence of samples of code elements; 2) several add-subtract elements, where each add-subtract element can receive several real bits a from the first sample of code elements in the memory and several imaginary bits b from the first sample of code elements; and 3) several sign selection units. Each of the several sign selection units receives from one of the several add-subtract elements a first input signal, equal to the sum (a+b) of several real bits a and several imaginary bits b, and a second output signal, equal to the difference (a-b) of several real bits a and several imaginary bits b. Each sign selection unit generates a real output signal and an imaginary output signal, which are respectively equal to one of the following: 1) sum (a+b), multiplied by +1 or -1, and 2) difference (a-b), multiplied by +1 or -1.

EFFECT: faster transmission.
