FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: ladle with steel is installed into vacuum chamber. Chamber is sealed and connected to vacuum - receiver, in which it is created decreased residual pressure during the degassing process of previous ladle. Pumping of air from vacuum chamber is started from residual pressure.

EFFECT: there is provided velocity increase of working vacuum creation in vacuum chamber and degassing rate of metal.
