FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used during repair of hard-to-reach holes made in metal parts and located at large distance from welding equipment, for example in jet turbine engine flange. Metal pin is brought into rotary movement relative to its axis and introduced to the filled hole so that it can be welded in this hole due to friction. Through space along axis of this hole is not free because there is at least one obstacle in this axis. In order to provide welding, axis of the above pin is inclined in relation to axis of hole by angle (α) different from zero in order to avoid the above obstacle. When it is necessary to use sufficiently long pin in axial direction, one of its ends is held by means of drive mechanism, and at least at one point located between two of its ends by means of intermediate support part with bearing.
EFFECT: eliminating negative impact of obstacles creating troubles when filling the holes by means of friction welding.
