FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for securing parts, in particular to nuts, and is aimed at preventing loss of a nut during use. Device for fixing two parts together, a first part having a fixing flange, comprising at least one through-orifice for a threaded shank, carried by or integral with a second part, and means for making the nut captive with respect to the flange before it is screwed onto the threaded shank. Means of making the nut captive are threaded.
EFFECT: nut has an externally threaded portion intended to be screwed into an internally threaded portion of the orifice in the flange or an element attached to the flange, and to pass completely through this internally threaded portion until it is housed in a cavity for axially retaining the nut, allowing the nut to rotate freely before it is screwed onto the threaded shank.
