POWER ENERGETIC SYSTEM OF NEXT-GENERATION DIESEL-ELECTRIC SUBMARINES WITH MONITORING OF ACCUMULATOR BATTERIES STATE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B63H23/24

Abstract RU 2377157 C1

FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to ship power energetic systems, in particular diesel-electric submarines and submersible crafts with accumulator batteries (AB), which are the only sources of electric energy in submersible condition, and also above-water vessels with electric motion, having AB as reserve (emergency) source of power supply. System realises monitoring voltage in all accumulators used to assemble AB, monitoring of level and temperature of electrolyte in all accumulator jars, monitoring of total voltage and current of AB and processing of control-diagnostic information in order to identify the mode of AB (discharging or charging), calculation of charging (or discharging) capacitance, residual capacitance and time left to completion of discharge, value of AB insulation resistance, etc. Results of current AB state monitoring in the form of integrated control-diagnostic information are sent to operator of complex of aggregate means of power energetic system control, which on the basis of this information makes justified decision on further optimal mode of AB use.

EFFECT: invention provides for efficient monitoring of current technical condition of AB and high validity of information support of submarine crew; system application provides for increased efficiency of AB operation, and as a result, increase of their resource and service life, and also increase of submarine independence.
