CULTURED CELL STRAIN OF PLANT Stephania glabra (Roxb) Miers IGF Sg 113-PRODUCER OF STEPHARINE AND METHOD OF CULTIVATION THEREOF IN BIOREACTOR Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C12N5/04 A01H4/00

Abstract RU 2377296 C1

FIELD: pharmacology.

SUBSTANCE: cultured cell strain of plant Stephania glabra (Roxb) Miers IGF Sg 113 is produced by cell selection of the collection strain Stephania glabra Sg 86 mf and deposited in "BKKK BP" under No. 67. The strain expresses stable level of Stepharine biosynthesis 0.1-0.5% of dry tissue weight provided the absence of the other alkaloids, that is more technological for the further operations of Stepharine recovery from biomass and production of a medical preparation. The strain is cultivated in a jet-type bioreactor in stirring under darkroom conditions at temperature 25-27°C and humidity 70%. And stirring is enabled by barbotage at increasing airflow 0.1 l/l-min to 1.5 l/l-min.

EFFECT: ensured production of dry biomass 210 g with maximum content of Stepharine 0,5% of dry tissue weight that is to 1005 mg of Stepharine without the others alkaloids.
