FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to repair of railway track. Proposed method comprises removing ballast from unfit tie end face, anticreepers, shims and cushions. Tie replacement device is mounted on rail with the help of clampers. Slings are pulled from drums, laid under rails on both sides of said unfit tie and jointed together on tie end face. Said slings are wound on aforesaid drum to pull unfit tie out. Then, tie replacement device is mounted on to inner side of the rail and clamped under new tie position. Slings are pulled out from the drums, laid under rails and mounted on both sides of new rail. Now, ties are jointed at their end faces, slings are wound on the drum and new tie is laid in its place. Tie replacement device is removed. Finally, shims and cushions are fitted in place, spikes are driven in and tie block is backfilled.
EFFECT: lower labor input, higher efficiency.
