FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine production. Proposed engine comprises inner and outer cone-screw elements arranged at an angle to each other and having hearing, pressure and expansion sections. The latter have helical working surfaces for elements to stay in contact with each other. Number of starts of helical working surface in expansion section of whatever element equals that in expansion section. Number of starts n2 of outer element helical working surface per unity exceeds number of starts n1 of inner element helical working surface. Aforesaid inner and outer elements are arranged in fixed housing to rest thereupon via bearings and rotate therein in one direction. Synchronisation of the rotation of aforesaid elements is performed by gearing. Direction of helical winding in pressure section of whatever cone-screw element complies with that in expansion section. Helices of working surfaces of the inner and outer cone-screw elements are directed in opposition. Helices of working surfaces of pressure and expansion sections of said elements comprises at least one complete turn.
EFFECT: higher reliability, increased RPM, simpler design and good balancing.
