FIELD: mechanical engineering; positive-displacement rotary machines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed liquid-ring machine can be used in positive displacement gas, hydraulic, heat and refrigerating machines. It contains rotor installed for rotation and consisting of one or several sections arranged along its axle and hollow drum enclosing the rotor and provided with spaces connected with reservoirs holding working medium or with atmosphere and inside which, at its rotation simultaneously with rotation of rotor, liquid ring is formed noncoaxial to rotor. All side surface of one or several sections of rotor is dipped in liquid ring. One side surface of each of these sections one or several channels are made with outputs directly communicating the channels with said spaces. These channels are completely overlapped by ring liquid in neighborhood of point of rotor dipped in liquid ring through maximum depth. Angle between outputs of each channel into said spaces is minimum (360-α) where α is angular size of sector of rotor containing said neighborhood.
EFFECT: prevention of parasitic overflows of working medium, simplified design, possibility of complete sealing of drum.
