FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to methods of measurement and monitoring of insulation resistance of unearthed power electrical AC networks. Stabilised steady voltage is applied to power network by means of connection to monitored network of measuring circuit. Circuit consists of series-connected resistor current sensor Rcs, source of stabilised steady voltage Ust and auxiliary resistor Raux with filter capacitor Cf, at that resistance of auxiliary resistor Raux is chosen k times larger than value of resistor current sensor Rcs. Then voltage U1 is measured on resistor current sensor, after that equivalent resistance of insulation Rins of monitored network is calculated by formula: Rins=Rcs[Ust/U1-(k+1)].

EFFECT: method allows to perform permanent monitoring of insulation resistance of several individual power electrical AC networks simultaneously.
