FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to seismic prospecting and can be used for exciting elastic oscillations in an aquatic environment. The device comprises a base, a shuttle carrier and an accumulation chamber. The base is made with a trigger chamber, a channel carrying compressed air into the working chamber, an electromagnetic pneumatic valve and a channel carrying compressed air into the pneumatic valve. The trigger chamber is connected to the output of the electromagnetic valve and to the surrounding medium through channels. The shuttle holder is made with upper and lower pistons which are connected to a hollow rod and fitted with a round axial exhaust window. The accumulation chamber is sealed from the surrounding medium by the lower piston with a stepped projection downwards and a top face of a polymer ring fitted in the cylindrical part of the holder. The cylindrical part of the holder and the accumulation chamber are separated from each other by a porous disc-shaped liner made from filter material. In the accumulation chamber there is a circular swirling projection in form of the shoulder of the lower face of the ring.
