FIELD: seismic prospecting, underwater acoustics, applicable for intensification of various processes. SUBSTANCE: seismic radiator has a body provided with a hollow cylinder with exhaust ports in its walls, forming a working chamber. The end part of the body has a control chamber connected through a duct to the working chamber. An end-cap is fastened to the body cylinder. Opening members are installed opposite the cylinder exhaust ports for movement in the body axis. The electric pressure-operated valve is connected through a duct to the control chamber and provided with a piston installed for movement in the body axis. The piston is made in the form of a cylindrical ring with a flange. The control chamber is made in the form of an annular cavity. The piston ring end is located in the annular cavity of the control chamber. The piston and the opening members are positioned coaxially on the external or internal side of the body cylinder. The opening members represent rings with an outside diameter exceeding the outside diameter of the piston ring, and having a right-angled triangle in section, whose right angle is directed towards the end-cap. The vertices of its acute angles are rounded-off, one of the vertices faces the piston flange and is located between the inside and outside diameters of the piston ring.
