FIELD: physics; acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sea pneumatic sources designed for exciting elastic oscillations during seismic tests on offshore zones. The device for exciting elastic oscillations in a sea environment consists of a cylindrical housing with a bottom, with a pneumatic source of acoustic oscillations inside the housing, and a nozzle. The pneumatic source of acoustic oscillations is made in form of a spark plug with an exciting coil fitted on the inner surface of the bottom, and the exciting coil is connected to a power supply. The cylindrical housing is double-walled with formation of a cavity which is filled with makrolon with the power supply and exciting coil. In the top part, the housing is rigidly joined to the nozzle, the inner surface of which is fitted with vertical bars.

EFFECT: simple design and reduced acoustic noise.
