FIELD: physics; geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is relates to geophysical exploration and may be used in marine seismic survey. The device for marine seismic survey consists of a power supply, an acoustic signal receiver, a device for processing measured signals and a device for exciting elastic vibrations. The device for exciting elastic vibrations is made from a flat-topped metal frame, in the top part of which there is a spark plug connected to the power supply. Electrodes are mounted on the top components of the flat-topped structure. The device is used to excite elastic vibrations in a semi-closed space bordered by the metal frame on three sides, through the spark plug across which voltage is applied. The acoustic signal is picked up. The measured signal is processed. The device described above is also used to generate an electromagnetic field through current pulses. The potential gradient of the electric field generated electrochemically and the potential gradient of the electric field caused by movement of water in the magnetic field of the Earth are also measured.
EFFECT: increased information content of marine seismic survey.
