SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, and can be used for diagnostics of local compressed regions of hip joint in coxarthrosis patients by computer tomography. That is ensured by X-ray study of hip joint in an anteroposterior projection in the coxarthrosis patient with the evident pain syndrome. To specify the diagnosis, computer tomography of hip joints and three-level analysis of joint space of hip joints follow. And the middle level passes through a pole of whirlbone pit. Along with coxarthrosis signs of the appropriate radiological stage, the local compression regions of hip joint representing narrowing of joint space in anterior or posterior joint in the form of reflecting opposite limited areas of articular surface of cotyloid cavity and whirlbone characterised by different degree of manifestation of subchondral sclerosis of closing plate, irregularity of articular surface of cotyloid cavity and whirlbone, regional osteophytes of anterior or posterior edges of cotyloid cavity referring the arrangements of narrowing regions of joint space, regional osteophytes of whirlbone within the limited narrowing of joint space.

EFFECT: method allows receiving quickly the complete and reliable information on anatomic-morphological disorders and detecting local compression regions of hip joint with exact positioning thereof and thereby starting the timely and adequate treatment and precipitating the beginning of the patient's rehabilitation.
