FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of direct synthesis of hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen peroxide synthesis method involves reacting hydrogen and oxygen in the presence of a noble metal based catalyst in a liquid reaction medium in the presence of alkyl ether of sulphuric acid. A hydrogen peroxide solution obtained using said method and use thereof in epoxidation of propene are also subjects of the invention.
EFFECT: increased activity and selectivity of the noble metal based catalyst during formation of hydrogen peroxide in the presence of alkyl ether of sulphuric acid.
