FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: at a defined stage one or more nitrogen containing compounds are added, and the solvent stream is separated, treated with acid until nitrogen content of 50 mass ratio/million in the form of nitrogen organic compounds is attained, and at least part of the stream is returned to the epoxidation stage. Description is also given of a method of catalyst epoxidation of propene, which form an integral unit with the proposed acid treatment and return of solvent into the process of treating the reaction mixture.
EFFECT: considerable lowering of deactivation of the catalyst when recycling the solvent.
