FIELD: physics; acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and applied hydroacoustics and can be used in powerful sound devices for processing production zones of oil and water wells, as well as for acoustic profiling the top layer of the Earth's crust. The device has active modules in form of piezo packets with end straps tied by central bolts. The piezo packets are placed on the axis of a hard sealed cylindrical case. The case is filled with electrically insulating liquid and made with sound transparent windows between the end straps of the piezo packets. Spring elements mechanically tighten ends of neighbouring modules and ends of terminal modules with end covers of the case. Soft screens, thickness of which is an order less than thickness of piezo packets, lie between the end straps of neigbouring modules and between end straps of terminal modules and end covers of the case. The emitter is electrically connected to a power supply which has a driving generator and a power amplifier with a balanced output. The power supply has a second power amplifier with a balanced output and a phase shifter which shifts the phase of the input signal by 90°.
EFFECT: wider functional capabilities through generation of unidirectional radiation in the vertical direction.
