FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: in the cylindrical case of a transponder-beacon hydroacoustic transducer there is a rod shaped piezoelectric element 1, rigidly joined to frontal and rear frequency reducing plates 2, braced reinforcement bolt 3, frontal and rear rigid screens 4, joined to frontal plates 2 through flexible springs 5, frontal and rear flexible screens 6, rigidly joined to the corresponding frontal and rear rigid screens 4, frontal and rear covers 7. The cylindrical case 8 has a rear flange 9. In the case 8 there is also a lubricating can 10 and a plug and socket unit 11. Between the lateral surface of the piezoelectric element 1 and the inner surface of the cylindrical case 8 there is sound resistant screen 12 from flexible material. Outside the case 8 there is a sealing rubber cover 13. In the body of the case 8 incisions are made 14, covered by the cover 13. The sealing layer is an insulating liquid poured into the case 8. The vertical distance between the incisions 14 and the distance between the centre of the piezoelectric element 1 and the rear flange 9 is equal to half the wavelength in the working medium at the operating frequency.
EFFECT: increased range of operation.
