FIELD: physics; optics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is a device (1) is for analysing documents (2), mainly banknotes. The proposed device (1) has at least one light source (3), at least one spectral device (8) and at least two detectors (9, 10, 11, 24). A document (2) is illuminated by the light source (3) and the emitted and/or reflected and/or the light passing through the document (2) is decomposed by the spectral device (8) into spectral parts. The spectral parts are picked up separately by the detectors. Spectral decomposition of light (4) coming from the source (3) can also take place before the light falls on the document (2). The device is made with provision for separate weighting of spectral parts picked up by the respective detectors (9, 10, 11, 24). The device uses a self-focusing lens (7) in form of a cylindrical optical element, in the middle of which a diaphragm is placed perpendicular to the optical axis. The self-focusing lens and method of making it are described.
EFFECT: simple design of the device.
